"After coming here for a summer visit over two years ago in the summer of 96‘ with my wife. We had been traveling around for several years in China looking for a new place to call home. I wandered the catacomb of stone pathways that make up the of the worlds largest old-towns for days. I was captivated by the wooden architecture of the houses here so we decided to stay. After living in several Naxi family courtyards in the old town area, we decided we must get our own courtyard outside of the old-town tourist trap."
